Obituary for Anthony A. "Tony" Moccaldi

Deerfield, NY: Anthony A. “Tony” Moccaldi, 58, passed away, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, in New Hartford.
Born in Utica, NY, February 14, 1963, Anthony was a son of the late Anthony and Anne (Marino) Moccaldi. Raised and educated locally, he was a graduate of T. R. Proctor High School. At one time, he had been wed to the former, Yvette Bilodeau. Mr. Moccaldi held several positions throughout the area, lastly at the Utica Transit Authority.
Tony had an infectious personality, who loved to socialize and meet new people. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and loved music and old movies. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his long-time companion and fiancée, Kathie A. Brindisi of Deerfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony A. and Haley Moccaldi of Brasher Falls; grandchildren, Audrey Moccaldi, Cayden Moccaldi, and Nevaeh, Jace, and Cashton Wilcox; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Rose Moccaldi of FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Scott Weaver of Bridgewater; aunts and uncles, Rosemary and Louis Mastroianni of Whitesboro, Mary LaRocco and Claira Mastrangelo, both of Utica; his step-mother, Loretta Moccaldi of Utica; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including, Jamie, Louis, and Krista Mastroianni, and Gina Klein; his fiancée’s family, who shared a special relationship with Tony; many special friends, including, Carmen Graziano; and his feline companion, Sonny. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Moccaldi; and his paternal grandmother, Louise Moccaldi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, January 19, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 at Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica (at the Matt Funeral Home). Mr. Moccaldi’s funeral and celebration of life will follow visitation on Wednesday evening at 6:00 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica.
