Obituary for Richard L. Kerwin
Utica, NY: Richard L. Kerwin, 68, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at his home.
Born in Utica, NY, on February 2, 1952, Richard was the son of the late Erwin and Jean L. (Gilbraith) Bowen. Raised and educated locally, he was a graduate of UFA.
At one time Mr. Kerwin held a position with Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica.
Rich was a caring, kind and gentle person, who was always available to lend a hand to anyone in need. Rich shared over thirty years with the love of his life, Bonnie Mullen, who passed away on February 13, 2020. An avid outdoorsman, Rich especially loved fishing, camping, hunting and was a loyal Buffalo Bills Fan.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey L. and Carmine Perrotta, of New Hartford, Wendy and Mike Beekman, of Ilion, and Victrina and Chris Lupa, of Westmoreland; two stepchildren, James and Michelle Mullen; many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, Burt Lamphere; and sister-in-law, Irene Strohl. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Burke.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., Utica, NY.
