Mr. Thomas A. “Tom” Brindisi, age 72, of Whitesboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare with his family at his side.
He was born in Utica on December 31, 1943 a son of the late Pasquale and Rose M. (Sisti) Brindisi.
Mr. Brindisi was raised and educated in Utica, where he attended local schools. It was in St. Agnes Church, on May 25, 1968 that he married the former Diane L. Klingon. For many years Tom held a position as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Utica, DPW.
Surviving are his wife, Diane; his children and their spouses, Thomas A. and Kathy Brindisi of Newport, Karen A. and John DeTraglia of Clinton, Ronald J. and Julie Brindisi of Whitesboro, Christine Brindisi and her companion, Radames Maleonado of New Hartford, and Steven M. Brindisi of Whitesboro; his grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Boyanton, Danielle Brindisi, Thomas Brindisi, James Klosek, Thomas Klosek, Danny DeTraglia, Emilee Rose Brindisi, Vincent Brindisi, and Anthony Brindisi Reyes; three great-grandchildren, Bryson Boyanton, Braden Boyanton, and Lincoln Klosek; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Grounds and her fiancée, Charles DaPice, and Ann and Tom Caruso all of Utica; and a brother, Pasquale Brindisi, Jr. of Utica. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk Street (at the Matt Funeral Home).
