Frank D. Soldato, age 60 of West Schuyler, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health Care.
He was born in Utica, NY, on December 15, 1955, a son of Marie M. (Alexander) Soldato and the late Frank D. Soldato, Jr. Mr. Soldato was raised and educated locally graduating from John F. Kennedy High School with the class of 1974. Frank was proud to have served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On October 11, 1981 he married the former Patricia A. LaFluer, the couple shared in a relationship of over thirty four years. At one time he had been the owner and operator of Franco’s Pizzeria in Ilion and Soldato’s Pizzeria in Marcy.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; a daughter, Marie D. Soldato of Utica; a son, Frank D. Soldato, IV of the United Kingdom; His mother Marie M. Soldato of Utica; a granddaughter, Emma Rose Betti of Frankfort; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dominick and Cathy Soldato of Fl, Michael and Cathy Keller of KS., and Vincent Soldato of Utica; aunts and uncles, Lucille Yaghy, Vincent and Donna Alexander all of New Hartford, Joseph Soldato of Clinton, and George Fischer of VA. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, Ellen and Dean Mullikan, Silvana LaFluer all of VA, Linda and Thaddeus S. “Ted” Kaczor of NC, Thomas N. and Joann LaFluer of SC, James B. LaFluer of FL, and John and Sandra LaFluer of NY.
In keeping with Franks’s wishes there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon at 12:00, at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Visitors will be received in church immediately following Frank’s funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger Street, Utica, NY.
